ARKANSAS BLACK
EL DORADO COUNTY
8.2% ABV
Apple Hill from our California Farms Series is a celebration of rich apple culture east of Sacramento in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada that has existed for more than 60 years. Here, orchards are planted near 3,000 feet elevation, and are subject to a much different terroir than our home in Sonoma County. Here, orchards are planted as high as 3,000 feet elevation and are subject to a distinct volcanic rock and granite terrior. Apple Hill is made from 60% Arkansas Black and 40% Pink Lady apples. Aromatically, this cider erupts with fresh, juicy apple with soft spicy notes as support. On the palate, it is rich with mineral complexity, with layers that are married together with a youthful sharpness contributed by the acid structure, which is likely due to the higher elevation where these apples are grown. Its beautiful, golden hue matches its delicate and dry finish.
